Trusting God in all situations
Proverbs 3:5
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.
Psalm 46:10
“Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”
Psalm 28:7
The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him.
God is in control of everything and loves me.

Whether we are attending a WELS church weekly, or we are across the world on a missionary trip, God will always be there.

Turn to God in prayer.
Matthew 7:7
7"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.
1 Chronicles 5:20
20 They were helped in fighting them, and God delivered the Hagrites and all their allies into their hands, because they cried out to him during the battle. He answered their prayers, because they trusted in him.
Romans 8:26
26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.
Ephesians 6:18
18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord's people.
No matter what is happening in our lives, we should turn to the Lord in prayer. We need to also pray for others.

God gives us different gifts.
Romans 12:6-8
6 We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your[1] faith; 7 if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; 8 if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead,[2] do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.
1 Corinthians 7:7
7 I wish that all of you were as I am. But each of you has your own gift from God; one has this gift, another has that.
1 Peter 4:10
10 Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms.
We should joyfully serve the Lord and others with the gifts he has blessed us with.

Work every day to be a Happy Confident Loving Christian using the fruits of faith
Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through him who strengthens me.
Proverbs 16:9 The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps
Colossians 3:23 Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men,
Psalm 146:2 I will praise the Lord as long as I live; I will sing praises to my God while I have my being.
Philippians 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice.
1 Corinthians 13:13 So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
When we know as the bible promises we will join our savior one day...it is pretty hard to be sad and stoic. Besides it takes more muscles to frown 😊

Being anxious and worrying about the future
Matthew 6:34 Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
Proverbs 27:1 Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
Psalm 16:11 You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
The Creator of the world and all of us has a plan for me each day which allows us to look forward to the future as we know our eternal home is our destination.
